NaRS Beach Lifeguard
A professional qualification for lifeguards employed on the beach. Co-ordinated by the SLSA GB, this course can be added to, by a range of other qualifications for volunteer/paid lifeguards. The award also looks at Beach Lifeguarding roles, responsibilities and supervisory requirements, NOP, EAP, legal requirements and other management issues which will assist beach and open water operators to meet their legal responsibilities.Click here for full Beach Lifeguard syllabus
Pre-requisites: Be a minimum of 16 years of age on the date of examination.
Swim 400m in 7min30s for an intensive and 9min for an extensive course. Have access to a wet suit and wet suit boots.
